Lord Kujawa, Don Szczep, Kotune i Don Himol - czterech selektorów, zebranych razem by nieść kaganek jamajskiej oświaty w najodleglejsze zakamarki Polski i Europy. Stanowią, lub stanowić wkrótce będą, czołówkę wśród krajowych sound systemów czego dowodem jest tytuł Run Di Riddim Selecta Clash Champion w 2009r - w tyle zostawili tak znane marki jak 27 Pablo i East West Sound. Jak przystało na oryginalny jamajski sound nie dają publice ani chwili wytchnienia, ani chwili odpoczynku, a motto ,, Macie Przejebane’’ wydaje się sprawdzać na każdej imprezie. Nie może więc zabraknąć królujących na karaibskich listach przebojów artystów, najnowszych wydawnictw prosto z wyspy, pokaźnej amunicji dubplate’ów jak i prezentującego to wszystko dj’a i hype’mana, który porządnie i bez wyjątków zakrzyczy każdy utwór. Całość podana jak zwykle z niewyobrażalną wprost ilością efektów, megafonów i syren. . Dla wybrednych i głodnych jamajskiego rootsu przygotowali również specjalny segment, we wczesnych godzinach porannych… w pozostałym czasie rządzi i dzieli najbardziej wyszukany DANCEHALL ! Po bardzo udanym roku 2010, kiedy grali u boku znanych zagranicznych artystów - m.in. Deadly Hunta, Warrior Sound, Sensi Movement, odwiedzili najważniejsze imprezy na dancehallowej mapie Polski (Ostróda Reggae Festival, 2 Urodziny Dancehall Masak-rah) oraz powiększyli zasób dubplate'owy do niespotykanych w kraju rozmiarów, nadchodzący rok 2011 zapowiada się nie mniej aktywnie. Już w marcu odbędą się 7 Urodziny Splendid Sound, a w kwietniu wracają na wojenną ścieżkę by na South Clash pokazać swoją dominację. Prasujcie więc koszule, czyście buty bo jak Splendid przyjedzie do was do miasta, czy to w Polsce czy za granicą, MACIE PRZEJEBANE! .... [English version] .... Splendid Sound is probably the maddest Polish sound system to ever hit the stage. Since its establishment in 2004 Kotune, Shchep, Lord Kujawa and Don Himol have managed to turn their city – Wroclaw [Breslau] – into a real dancehall fortress with an impressive number of supporters. The regular session held at Droga do Mekki club by Splendid and another local sound system Wroclaw Crew has already become legendary and featured all major Polish crews and DJs as well as some prominent foreign acts. Throughout the years they have shared the stage with such well-established artsits as YT [GB], Million Stylez [SE], Upliftment Intl. [DE], Ill Inspecta [DE], Raggabalder Riddim Rebels [NO], Thai Stylee [AT], Warrior Sound [DE], Sensi Movement [DE];; organized tours with Zoro [RSA], Anthony John [JA], D Bo General [GB], Tippa Liga Massiva [NO], Deadly Hunta [UK] and played at some festivals in Poland (including Ostróda Reggae Festivall – the biggest Reggae fest in the country) and Czech Republic. They were also the first Polish crew to tour Norway having played there around 10 shows. Thanks to two visits to Jamaica they got the chance to learn the sound system craft from the best in the world so what you undoubtedly can expect during their performances is excellent toasting and hyping up while juggling biggest ragga/dancehall anthems and wicked dubplates. Their shows are so energetic that even the worst dancers encouraged by the two MCs start to do „Nuh Linga” or „Skip to my Loo”. In their first appearance in a soundclash they managed to secure the Run De Riddim Selekta Clash 2009 title and made it to the final in the most important clash in Poznan. But even though the most of the music played by Splendid Sound is up-to-di-time dancehall straight from Jamaica they never forget to pay tribute to the foundation. .... Apart form running the sound system and organizing shows, members of Splendid Sound own their own reggae label called Rial Agony Records. They have already released two one-riddim albums: Rial Agony Series 1: Biba! Riddim and Rial Agony Series 2: Bless Ya Riddim featuring Lutan Fyah, YT & Dr. Ring-Ding among others. The releases area available on CD as well as on Vinyl. ...... Nowadays they are getting more and more recognition locally and due to this they have been invited to play several gigs abroad and are surely ready to prove they have the skills to go international.
